Houdini – Rex is crowned

This dark animation was made for these dark times that we’re into.
The crown jewels were made procedurally in Houdini. The particles used in this animation were simulated with the use of vellum grains. The texture of the skull was created in Blender with the use of paint texture. The skeleton of the crown was also made in Blender with the use of two techniques- Box modelling and sculpting. The blood on the sand was extruded form a 2D tecsture with the use of vdb technique. This animation was rendered in Redshift and composed in Fusion.
